Here is my review on the Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro 250 OHM open back studio headphones.

I have owned these for a couple of months now and can’t be more glad that I purchased them for my home recording studio. Eventhough, you should do your mixing on a good set (or few) of studio monitors, it is also good to check out your mix through a good pair of flat response studio headphones (or few).

One of the features I like best about the 990s is the soft material that goes over you ears. You can mix   your tracks or listen back to them in comfort without the pain from headphones resting on your ears. Even though they appear to be big and bulky they are pretty lightweight and I barely notice they are on other than the music in my ears. (though the cord is kind of heavy due to its length but if you have the cord resting on your desk or something it’s not as heavy)

Guitar Exercises Beginner … Finger Strengthening and picking development

Published by:

In Guitar Exercises Beginner we are going to get your fret hand fingers strengthened, exercise your picking hand (for individual strings). We will not be working on chords in this lesson, however, if you are looking for Chord Exercises click here.

After you are done with this lesson, you should be able to do these exercises along with a metronome (If you don’t have a metronome, I suggest you buy one as it will help in your development in timing. There are free online metronomes, even smart phones now days have free metronome apps so there is no excuse for not having and practicing with one as this will only benefit you).

NOTE : This first section is going to be lengthy as I describe in detail my method. Once we get past this initial phase, you should understand how my system and approach goes, where I will be able to be less descriptive so you can get to working on your development with my exercises faster.

Guitar Effects Pedalboard … Essential effects for a pedal board.

Published by:

A lot of guitarists like and use effects as everyone knows. Even though when I played on stage in the past, I owned a bunch of pedals and multi effect units, I didn’t use them on stage.  I plugged my custom made Ibanez straight in to a marshal artist tube amp and used the amps own built in distortion for my live sound, micd through the mixing board in to the P.A. system. Now days if I were to perform I would probably set up a guitar effects pedalboard.

In this article I will give my opinion on which pedals are necessary to equip your pedal board with, how to go about building your pedal board etc…

If you are searching for some Famous Blues Guitarists to check out, you have come to the right place. Whether you like the Chicago blues, delta blues, Texas blues, Mississippi blues, jazz blues or rock blues here are some of the best to check out.

The 3 kings

Let’s start with the 3 most famous kings. Albert King, B.B. King and Freddie King.

1. Riley B King, also known as B.B. King, one of, if not, the most known and most famous blues legends ever. B.B. Kings name is recognized by many generations due to how long him and his music has been around. He has made a mark in the History of the Blues and has many numerous albums that you can hear him playing his guitars that he named ” Lucille “.

Probably the most noted song that people known B.B. King for best is his version of the song ” The Thrill Is Gone “, originally written by Roy Hawkins and Rick Darnell. The original version was mostly saxophone and piano so when B.B. King played the song on guitar with the emotion he put in to it and the driving bass line combined with his singing style it became his signature song.

List of Christian Rock Bands …. Can the words Christian and Rock be used together ?

Published by:

Some people think that if music is rock it cannot be Christian and if someone is Christian, they can’t or shouldn’t play rock. I have noticed throughout the years also that a lot of people that are not Christian nor don’t believe in God are put off by Christian music even if it is good. At the same time I find that some Christians are put off by rock music even if it is Christian rock and are completely against secular music. Here I have compiled a list of Christian rock bands and Christian metal bands. I am sure almost everyone whether they listen to Christian rock or not can name at least one band on this list.
